Most tables of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries are built according to the principle of the Roman cartibula : their board rests on two large supports joined by a spacer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here, three cut-out fans form the base. They are connected together by a particularly low spacer. The three supports end in gliders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The top rests directly on the base.
