This impressing blackened wooden prie-dieu is a perfect exemple of venitian artists from the XVII century, especially their refinement\u2019s work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This unique piece is composed of a blackened wood frame. The surface is decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays representing winged putti, but also floral decors linked together by copper scrolls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The upper part serves as an armrest. This part is raised by a flap allowing a space dedicated to objects of devotion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The front part is composed of two elements shaped like an S, symmetrically joining each other. The facade is adjorned, which gives an elegance to the furniture. The base on which the workshipper kneels is cut on the sides.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This rare prie-dieu shows all the talent of venitian artists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
