The front legs are turned into ringed columns topped with a canopy and a rosary bead in blackened wood. They are joined by a straight crosspiece on the facade, and connected by a spacer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These old-fashioned upholstered chairs are covered in a beautiful linen fabric.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Most of these \u201cbacked\u201d chairs came not from carpenters\u2019 workshops, but from turners, an independent corporation whose statutes date from the end of the 16th century.
