Peu \u00e0 peu, la coutume de baptiser les nouveau-n\u00e9s se r\u00e9pandit. D\u00e8s le XIe si\u00e8cle, les cuves baptismales sont accueillies dans toutes les \u00e9glises, et cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie n\u2019est plus limit\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00eatre c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e lors des trois uniques jours f\u00eat\u00e9s pr\u00e9vus \u00e0 cet effet\u00a0: P\u00e2ques, la Pentec\u00f4te et No\u00ebl. C\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la raison pour laquelle la taille des fonts baptismaux gagna \u00e0 se r\u00e9duire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La vasque polygonale en granite blanc est sculpt\u00e9e en taille directe, en haut-relief. Elle donne \u00e0 voir un jeu de lumi\u00e8re privil\u00e9giant les contrastes ombres et lumi\u00e8res. Les parois ext\u00e9rieures pr\u00e9sentent des ornements \u00e0 l\u2019ordonnance r\u00e9guli\u00e8re et aux formes fluides.
