Description

This prie-dieu, resting at the front on two lion’s paws, supports a false drawer carved with an acanthus frieze, set beneath a denticulated frieze decorating the kneeler’s fall-front, which lifts open.

On the façade, the door, with a moulded surround and carved at the centre with a fine flower, opens to reveal a small shelf.

On either side, two draped caryatids, carved in high relief, support the entablature forming a false drawer flanked by two mascarons.
