Description

Albert Leclerc, ornamentalist, painter and sculptor was born in Paris in 1906. He began his career as a talented ornamentalist working in plaster, stucco, wood and bronze. In 1936, he received an order and sculpted the bust of Auguste Marin, then mayor of the town of Saint-Maur. A large part of its production is carried out in Madagascar and Reunion. His sculpture is both simple in line but direct in impact. Thus, the sobriety and simplicity of his work bring expressiveness and finesse to his works.
