Description
With its harmonious proportions, this octagonal table is a beautiful model of balance and elegance. Its eight turned baluster legs are connected by a spacer worked in the same way.
The belt accommodates four real drawers and four others in trompe l’oeil, with their turned wooden knobs. The table top is decorated on its round with a frieze of barley grains cut into the mass. A turned wooden spacer under each drawer recalls the legs of the table, bringing balance to the whole.
The construction of this high-quality piece of furniture remains marked by the search for measure and perfection pursued in Italy since the Renaissance, a symbol of universal harmony and beauty.
